We are seeking a Contract Administrator to administer and manage the company's contract process in coordination with Engineering and Architectural Department Managers.  May assist with the negotiation and administration of agreements between the company/customers/subcontractors/vendors ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for reviewing standard contract solicitation terms, interpreting agreement terms and conditions and identifying potential issues, reviewing agreement amendments / modifications and incorporating changes under the advisement and direction of  Management
  • Reviews contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, government specifications and requirements, identifies risks and areas of concern on contract terms and conditions
  • Prepares contracts for execution by authorized company personnel
  • Tracts status of non-executed contracts
  • Assists in preparation of change orders as requested
  • Prepares and processes sub-consultant agreements
  • Maintains contract files for projects
  • Responds to standard inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions
  • May assist in proposal preparation for customer requirements as needed
  • Under direction, prepares contractual documents, including the preparation of contract terms and conditions, and assembles contract documentation package
  • Participates in management review of proposals/contracts
  • Maintains effective internal and external customer relations



  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline preferred
  • 3+ years of experience with Contract Administration preferably for a A/E firm or General Contractor
  • Basic understanding of contract/Purchase Order terms and conditions and knowledge of the contracting process
  • Basic knowledge of the terms and conditions appropriate for different contract types and their proper use
  • Knowledge and thorough understanding of proper drafting, negotiation and use of contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders and other forms of agreements
  • Professional, self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented with the flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic understanding of Contract / agreement briefings, negotiation and review
  • Basic knowledge of monitoring contracts/subcontracts
  • General computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
