Bridge Coatings Inspector

Summit Design and Engineering Services seeking a qualified Bridge Coatings Inspector.

Requirements:

• Perform onsite inspections of all coating related activities in accordance with contract documents.
• Perform inspections utilizing coating inspection equipment.
• Ensure compliance with contract documents and related laws and regulations for lead removal projects.
• Keep various project records/ daily reports.
• Take field measurements of various completed items and make calculations to determine contract pay quantities.
• Read plans and blueprints.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Basic computer skills including, using an iPad, Microsoft Windows, email, and internet.
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to perform duties without constant supervision and should be able to read resource materials to determine answers to simple inspection requirements.
• Ability to read and understand plans and other contract documents.
• Ability to create and or edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents

Certifications Preferred:

• NACE Level I, II, or III
• SSPC C-3
