Summit Design and Engineering, one of the fastest growing companies in the Triangle area, is seeking a full-time Contract Administrator. The position develops, evaluates, negotiates and processes company contracts to support our organizational goals. Our preference is for this position to report to either our Raleigh or Hillsborough office, but would consider allowing this position to work from one of our other offices if able to come to the Hillsborough office as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and/or review various contract documents including base contracts, change orders, sub-consultant agreement, and Master Service Agreements.
  • Prepare and coordinate execution copies of contract documents; upload fully executed contracts to the company database and return a fully executed copy to the counterpart for their records.
  • Track contracts through to completion
  • Work with Accounting, Billing, and Business Development in support of contract documents.
  • Manage insurance requirements for all contracts.
  • Ensure all contracts are accurate and up to date.
  • Negotiate and coordinate additions, deletions, or modifications to contract documents.
  • Interpret and clarify contract provisions and advise project managers and/or other parties regarding contract compliance issues.
  • Assist in the training and communication of contracting procedures and practices.
  • Ensure sub-consultant compliance.
  • Create weekly win report.
  • Maintain all company contracts; electronic filing, expiration dates, master service agreements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in contract administration.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of contract terms and conditions.
  • Knowledge of Federal, state, and local laws governing contract law.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects/contracts.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, & Docusign.
  • Engineering/Architecture contract experience preferred
  • Certification for Certified Professional Contract Manager preferred.
