Director of Construction Services/Project Delivery/Quality Control

Summit Design and Engineering Services is seeking a Director of Construction Services/Project Delivery/Quality Control to work with our team in our Hillsborough office. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and have excellent leadership and project management abilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Accountable for Construction Services department, and direction of project execution activities.
• Responsible for resource planning for projects and client needs
• Develop and manage processes for subcontractor pre-qualification and selection of subcontractors.
• Manage and maintain company-wide Quality Control for all commercial/non-public design deliverables
• Executive-level participation in development of project proposals and bids
• Manage and develop construction delivery best practices with a goal of continuous improvement
• Analyze project schedule, cost, and productivity performance for portfolio and provide guidance to site management teams on corrective actions to improve performance or mitigate risk.
• Provide strategic leadership, direction, and coaching to Construction Services team.
• Identify opportunities and foster relationships to generate new business.

Qualifications:

• BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management; MS preferred
• Minimum 8 years relevant experience with documented success in executing complex construction projects
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral, with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, partners, and other stakeholders.
• Successful leader with proven track record and relevant industry experience
