JUNIOR PROJECT ENGINEER

Summit Design and Engineering Services is currently seeking a Junior Project Engineer to work with our Construction Engineering Inspection group.   We are looking for someone who is a demonstrated self-starter and preferably has field experience with construction projects.  The position works under direct supervision, performs routine daily activities and distributes information.  The Project Engineer must be flexible and adaptable team player as well as have strong communication and client service skills

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Project Management
• Scheduling
• Safety and quality control management
• Engineering design and support
• Assist with proposal preparation and project tracking
• Business development and client relations

 Qualifications:  

• BS Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• 0-2 years of experience
• EIT designation preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent documentation and organizational skill
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge of construction projects and highway operations is a plus

Candidates will be subject to outside environmental conditions, including hazards at highway construction sites.  Must be able to walk over rough and uneven terrain.  Must have valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.   Criminal background check will be performed.
