LAND DEVELOPMENT INTERNSHIP
Summit Design and Engineering Services is seeking a bright, talented Intern to work in our Land Development Department. Primarily based in our Hillsborough office, but on occasion will work out of our Durham office. The Internship would last from approximately May 15th through August 15, 2015. We are looking for someone to work 40 hours per week. This is a paid internship.
Our Intern will work on a variety of private/public land development projects and have an opportunity to attend meetings and site visits with engineers and clients.
Requirements:
- Actively seeking a degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering
- Familiarity with AutoCAD
- Basic knowledge of hydrology and understanding of topography
- Prior site planning knowledge and any design experience is preferred
- General knowledge of site construction and/or landscaping
- Able to review plans, follow directions and checklist for plan review
- Organized and detail oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
