Landscape Architecture Design Intern

Summit Design and Engineering is seeking a Design Intern to work in our Landscape Architecture Department. T

Responsibilities:

• Creates CAD production drawings, including base files and design and documentation drawings and details
• Produces presentation graphics
• Maintains and contributes to CAD standards and detail & block libraries
• Manages deadlines for on-time submittals to maintain the overall project's schedule
• Enhances final plan sets with exceptional attention to detail
• Actively assists in the Quality Control throughout the project
• Interface with clients as required including periodically project status
• Inspires high level of performance from the team

Skills and Qualifications:

• Junior, Senior, or 2nd/3rd year student in a landscape architecture, graphics, or CAD degree-granting program
• Knowledge of Landscape Architecture design requirements and principles
• Effective constructive and cooperative working relationships with others
• Working knowledge of various computer programs including AutoCAD, MS Office, and computer graphics programs.
• Some studio experience preparing graphics and presentations
• Experience producing at least two types of graphic representation, which could include hand graphics, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D modelling (Sketchup, Rhino, etc.), or others
• Ability to read and interpret technical information
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently as well as on teams
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Ability to drive and stand and walk on job sites as needed
• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time
