Marketing Internship Summer 2019

Summit Design and Engineering Services, PLLC, seeks an intern to join our Marketing team for the summer of 2019. The Marketing Intern will be a driven, curious, and friendly person. We are offering a flexible schedule that would allow the Intern to study while working with us, but we are looking for someone to work at least 15 hours a week so they can truly experience our company. Summit is growing fast and expanding into new areas across the Southeast, so we need someone who's excited to grow with us.

The Marketing Intern will experience how we market Summit from every angle. The Intern will have the opportunity to explore and create along with our team. They will experience how marketing a major A/E/C company works and gain valuable, transferrable professional skills at the same time.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist in content creation for our social media accounts and plan campaign strategy
• Assist with proposals
• Use brand standards to create graphic designs
• Attend events and engage in event planning with our marketing team

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree in business, marketing, communications, graphic design or other relevant fields.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with examples to prove those skills.
• Familiarity with planning and executing social media posts and campaigns for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram.
• Experience or a willingness to learn (quickly) Adobe CC including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Ability to work in our Hillsborough or Raleigh office, at least 15 hours a week.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
• Ability to multi-task and take initiative
• Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
• Interest in developing a brand or in business development.
• Excitement for meeting new people and engaging with our community
