SURVEY CAD DESIGNER TECHNICIAN I

Summit Design and Engineering Services is seeking a highly motivated Survey CAD Technician I to work in our Survey in either our Hillsborough or Raleigh office.

Responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to: 

• Download and process field data in Trimble Business Center (TBC), Spectra Office, Microstation and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Interpret and plot record deeds and plats for all types of property surveys.
• Prepare all types of surveying plats and drawings utilizing research and the information gathered in the field.
• Prepare topographic survey drawing/plats.
• Perform stakeout calculations for construction and roadway projects.
• Prepare as-built record drawings for agency approvals.

Requirements:

• Associates Degree preferred with 0-2 years of expereience, but would consider someone with high school diploma/GED with 3+ years of experiece.
• Proficient in AutoCad Civil 3D and Microstation.
• Ability to compute, process and map field data.
• Experience with Trimble Business Center/ Spectra Office and good understanding of GPS techniques a plus.
• Understanding of surveying laws and state standards for boundary analysis and computations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office and Google Earth.
