SURVEY CAD DESIGNER TECHNICIAN II

Summit Design and Engineering Services is seeking a highly motivated Survey CAD Technician II to work in our Survey Department in our Hillsborough and Raleigh office.

Responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to: 

• Download and process field data in Trimble Business Center (TBC) and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Interpret and plot record deeds and plats for all types of property surveys.
• Prepare all types of surveying plats and drawings utilizing research and the information gathered in the field.
• Prepare topographic survey drawing/plats.
• Perform stakeout calculations for construction sites.
• Prepare as-built record drawings for county approvals.

Requirements:

• Associate degree (or higher) in Surveying/Geomatics with four plus years of surveying experience 
• Proficient in AutoCad Civil 3D.
• Ability to compute, process and map field data.
• Experience with Trimble Business Center (TBC) and good understanding of GPS techniques a plus.
• Understanding of surveying laws and state standards for boundary analysis and computations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office and Google Earth.
