Senior Proposal/ Technical Writer

Summit Design and Engineering, one of the fastest growing companies in the Triangle area, is seeking a Senior Proposal/Technical Writer for our Marketing Department. If you are an outstanding writer and editor who is comfortable with deadlines and eager for the opportunity to impact a growing firm, you are the person we are looking for as our next Proposal/Technical Writer. The ideal candidate has an excellent command of the proposal process and shepherds the proposal through the process to ensure a superior product is developed and delivered.

Responsibilities:

• Write, edit, and compile technical proposals, qualification packages, cover letters, resumes, project descriptions, boilerplate information and marketing material in accordance with brand standards and compliance protocols.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to produce responses to Request for Qualification (RFQs), Request for Proposals (RFPs), and related solicitations ensuring all requirements are met and all guidelines are followed.
• Manage the proposal team throughout the proposal lifecycle, including leading kick-off meetings and communicating on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met.
• Conduct research using internal and external resources to develop win themes and to customize project profiles and team information and develop win themes for our clients.
• Respond to information requests from other offices, including graphics, employee resumes, proposals, etc.
• Assist Senior Proposal Manager in developing and maintaining templates, outlines, and schedules.
• Communicate effectively to all members of the team, as well as maintain organization to handle multiple tasks at a time.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or relevant degree.
• A minimum of three years of relevant experience in the A/E/C industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent grammatical skills.
• Ability to present complex data in clear, concise text.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to work in collaboratively with others as well as work independently.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint, and other communications-related software programs.
• Experience in analyzing technical information and summarizing in writing for more general audiences.
